White River Air, is the first and still the only fly-in outfitting air service out of White River, in this vast area of Northern Ontario spanning ten thousand square miles north and east of Lake Superior. Operating since the 1950's our commitment to our customers has always been to provide the highest quality fly-in fishing and hunting experience possible.
Awesome Fly-in Fishing
We have located our camps on remote lakes with no access other than fly-in and have evaluated each of these lakes to determine the number of fishermen we can accommodate without detrimental effects on the quality of the fishery. Each waterbody is limited to that number of guests each season. In the event that this simple management policy does not sustain the fishery in a particular lake, we stop using it for 2 to 3 years allowing the fishery to restore itself. We have also carefully selected some locations as Conservation Lakes. Fishermen will only gain access to these lakes by purchasing a Conservation License.
Successful Trophy Bear & Moose Hunts
We operate the largest moose hunt (archery and rifle) in the area. With over 10 000 square miles our hunters enjoy seclusion and an annual success rate second to none!
Top-notch Fly-in Outpost Cabins and Equipment
We have also completely renovated or totally rebuilt many camps (including new appliances, cupboards, bunkbeds, etc.). Our boats are late model and our outboards are used for only 2-3 seasons before being replaced. With a full time carpentry/maintenance staff, we are able to keep our accommodations and equipment in A-1 condition.
Modern Aircraft
Our aircraft, a deHavilland Otter (purchased and rebuilt to new condition with turbine engine) and a Beaver (recently upgraded) are rigorously inspected and maintained in the very best condition possible and flown only by experienced pilots for your comfort and safety.
